Introducing Baby Eli!

He is finally here!  After much anticipation for the past 9 months, Elijah Lee Walker made his entrance into the world.  Born Wednesday March 13, 2013 at 3:00pm on the dot.  Ryan made the mistake of suggesting I hold out until 3:13...cue death glare here.  Elijah was super alert right after he was born and we got to enjoy a few minutes of cuddling before the nurses whisked him off to have his first bath.

Here are the official stats:  7 lbs 6 ounces and 19 1/2 inches long.

A few hours later, Grammy and Uncle Paul brought the excited big brothers for a visit.

Sam couldn't wait to hold the baby.  Austin took a minute to warm up, but quickly wanted a turn too.  Austin  wouldn't come anywhere near me in the hospital bed.  (I was still hooked up to the IVs and blood pressure cuff.)

All the handsome men in my life.

Snug as a bug.

Dressing Eli to go home.  Look at how light his hair is!  I was expecting it to be really dark like baby Sam & Austin's.

Still dressing him...  Funny side note: When Austin sees this picture he always says, "Mommy all better!"  Then when he sees a pic of me in the hospital bed he says, "Mommy hurt."

Man this kid loves to chew on his fingers...

...or a binky.

All buckled up to go home!

We were so spoiled to get to have my mom and brother Paul here for a whole week!

A gigantic thanks to Mom for making sure we all stayed well fed and kept the house from falling apart.

And another to Paul who played trains and cars and raced around with the boys for HOURS at a time.  We miss you guys already!

As you have probably noticed, both the boys are quite smitten with Baby Eli.  Or, as Austin calls him "Wee-Wy".

And here is Sam's interview with Eli.

I have to keep a close eye on little Eli because if I don't he will get loved to death by his big brothers.  Or at least taken for a joy-ride around the house in his little bouncer chair.

We are slowly adjusting to life as a family of five.  Thank you THANK YOU to everyone who has been helping our family lately.  We have never felt so loved!
