2 Months
In May, Baby Eli turned 2 months old!!! Yay Eli! Here are his two months stats: He weighed 12 lbs (59%ile), was 23.25" tall (65%ile), and his head circumference was 39 cm (28%ile). New this month: Lots of smiles, coos, and laughs! He is one happy little dude.
DOZER DAYS
Later that month, we finally made it to the annual Dozer Days, an event put on at a local quarry where kids get to drive big machines! Basically, little boy heaven. We have lived in WA for almost 3 years and this was the first time we actually made it! Here is Sam driving the bulldozer.
And little Austin being helped up into the bulldozer. He was SO excited!
We knew Sam would like it, but we were pleasantly surprised at how much Austin loved it! Usually he is shy around new people, but he grabbed the line attendant's hand and practically ran out to the machine.
What would a fair be without cotton candy?
Sam's favorite part was playing in the dirt with the kid-sized diggers.
I didn't get a good picture of it, but we all rode in the bed of a GIGANTIC dump truck...even Eli! Overall it was a great day.
The Iron ROOODDD!!!
You often hear that to kids (especially boys), anything can be a weapon. In my house, pillows, toilet paper rolls, even teddy bears can and will be used against you. Well, apparently that list should also include object lessons. One afternoon I was washing dishes when I heard Sam yelling in the backyard. I opened the window and heard, "THE IRON ROOOOOOODDDDDDD!!!!" What? Did Sam just say The Iron Rod? As in, "To Nephi seer of olden time?" Oh yes. Sam had found a long stick and was running around pretending it was the ultimate weapon, the Iron Rod.
You know some nice Primary teacher was trying to teach the kids about the Iron rod, which is a symbol for the word of God. But to a 4 1/2 year old, the Iron Rod could only mean one thing. A really cool weapon.
Need final evidence to prove we are totally overrun with rowdy boys? May I present "The Hulk". All Austin needs are some green boots and a green necklace to become, Hulk SMASH!
