Easter Weekend in Utah

This Easter, we flew out to Utah for a quick weekend visit. (Thanks Mom & Dad Walker for the tickets!)

Let the picture dump begin!

We got up SUPER early Thursday morning for a 7am flight.  Both boys had their eyes glued to the window the whole time.  They loved it!

As soon as we arrived, Grandpa Jeff had a surprise for Sam...a remote control helicopter!  I'm not sure who was more excited...Sam...or Grandpa :)

That night we headed over to the mall for a little carousel fun!

Austin wasn't so sure about it.

But, he had fun sitting in the dollar truck ride.  See that cheesy grin complete with baby chin drool?

Friday morning we rode Trax to downtown Salt Lake.

We all had fun on the train!

Especially Sam.

Once downtown, we checked out the new children's Book of Mormon/Latin America exhibit at the Church History Museum.  Here is Sam after knocking down the "building blocks" of a wall.

Driving the tractor was definitely Austin's favorite.  We had a hard time getting him out of there.

Fiesta!  PS Carly did you realize that we were dressed like twinners that day?  Awesome.

Ahem.  Not sure this picture needs much explanation.

Then we headed a couple of blocks over to the new City Creek Mall.  (Where the old ZCMI mall used to be.)  It was gorgeous and CROWDED.

There is nothing better than a fountain to a 3 yr old.

Austin pretty much looked for stray jelly beans and popcorn the whole time.

Easter Sunday we had a little visit from the Easter bunny!  He hid all the eggs we dyed the day before plus a little basket of goodies for both kids.

Dinosaur Hats were a favorite!!! 

And since we aren't all together very often, we took a Walker Family Photo.  This is how it looked most of the time.

But, we did get a good shot or two.

Sunday afternoon we had a big Easter Dinner with both Walker & Stanley families, sang Happy 19th Birthday to Daniel,

bonded with Grandpa-Great,

bribed Austin to sit with Aunt Kim (sorry about that Kim!),

and said goodbye to the newly minted California-Girl Carly!

Monday we did some laundry, flew home, and all went to bed early.  Phew!  Kind of a whirlwind weekend, but it was very fun!
