Street Performers and Disc Golf

[Preface...Our regular camera has finally bit the dust.  My early (way early) birthday present is a new camera, and it should be here soon.  In the meantime, I have stolen all of the pictures for this post from our friends Matt & Mickie Spence's blog.  Thanks Mickie!]

Last Saturday we went with our friends the Spence Family to the local farmer's market.  It was really busy and lots of fun.  Mickie and I were scouting out the fresh produce while Matt & Ryan watched the kids (Sam (2 1/2), Ty (almost 2), Austin (5 mo), and Maylee (2 mo).

Of course the boys noticed the street musicians right away and had to do a little street performing themselves.  Pretty good, eh?

Ryan said later that he wishes he had put his hat down next to them for donations (think Mr. Bean).  Sam & Ty had so much fun playing and running around.  Aren't they handsome?

After the farmer's market, we went to a nearby park so Matt could teach Ryan how to play disc golf.  It is basically exactly like golf except you use discs (frisbees) rather than golf balls.  Ryan is really starting to love it and has even ordered his own set of discs.

Ty showed Sam proper throwing technique.

Here we are next to the last hole.  The park was gorgeous and SO green.  I still can't get over the trees here.  The giant evergreens make me feel like I should be at Girls Camp or something.  Thanks Matt & Mickie for letting us tag along with you!  It was a really fun weekend!
