October began with some serious cousin bonding! Auntie Al and Cousin Andrew came for a visit and we had a blast. There was lots of hugging...
(Sometimes TOO much hugging.)
Lots of playing...
(Always next to each other, not so much with each other.)
(We loved Austin's expression in this one. Sorry about that Andrew.)
(Not quite warm enough for the pool...sorry boys!)
(How many cousins does it take to fix a truck?)
Lots of snacks...
And even a trip to the zoo!
(Everytime he saw an animal, he would say "RAAAWW!")
(Getting up close and personal with the cheetahs.
If you look closely, they are right in front of the boys)
(Look Al, we survived a trip with 4 little boys!)
Also this month, Austin finally got some pedals on his bike and took off!
Just a little coaching from Dad, and he did great!
Big brother Sam was on hand to demonstrate how to pedal...
Ryan and I crossed another item off our Pacific NW bucket list and visited the Fruit Loop this month. The Hood River Fruit Loop is a loop of highway in the Hood River Valley with tons of farms, food, and beautiful scenery. We've been hearing great things about this place since we moved here. Lucky for us, Grandpa Jeff rode his motorcycle up from Lincoln City to join us for the day.
Picking out some pumpkins
Looking cool on Grandpa's motorcycle
Our last stop was for some ice cream and amazing pear dumplings. Next year we will come more prepared and actually pick some fruit to store for the winter.
Grandpa sharing ice cream with the monster he created.
Finally, the countdown on our wall reached zero and it was Halloween night!
Ninja Warrior and Batman couldn't wait to get dressed in their costumes.
Ninja Warrior showed off his moves
Batman wanted to "blend into the darkness"
(His words, not mine)
The Boy Wonder (Robin) finally let me put on his mask and take some pictures
This was the best I could do for a group shot
Let the festivities begin!
Happy Halloween!
(Actually what he is saying is "CANDY!!!!")
