Well HELLO world! Don't worry, we are still alive and kicking. Being the mom to three boys is intense! But more about that later...next up in the queue was an impromptu Gibbs Family Reunion! (Scroll all the way down for my favorite picture!)
What was the reason for this fun weekend gathering? This handsome young man right here! (The big handsome man...not the small mini-me next to him) Elder Gibbs returned home on April 9th from a two year mission preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ to the great people of Argentina.
First just a couple of my siblings were going to be there for his homecoming. Then a few more. Pretty soon all 5 siblings, 4 boys, 2 spouses, 2 parents, and 1 AWESOME cousin (shout-out Jonathan!) were headed to Houston. It was a full house and lots of fun!
First stop the pool! Loads of fun with Auntie Rae!
There was lots of wrestling going on...
And a little posing...
And lots of playing with Uncle Jon!
There was even some playing after the pool was "put away".
But mostly there was lots of cousin bonding time with Andrew the boys' first and only cousin!
(For now...come on little baby boy Johns! We are waiting for you!!!)
To say Sam likes Andrew would be a major understatement.
Poor Uncle Paul couldn't catch a break.
Austin warmed up to Uncle Chris right away! Especially when he was offering free airplane rides.
Grandpa (or Papa, as Austin calls him) and the boys. Well, most of the boys. Missing Baby Eli in this pic.
The little dudes! Eli (1 month) and Andrew (almost 4 months). These guys are going to be best buddies.
There was lots of baby holding all around.
And somehow "Grammy" kept us all fed! Not an easy task with the likes of Uncle Chris, Uncle Paul, and Austin :)
Even Austin got to do some baby-holding. Despite the fact that baby is nearly his size. Andrew! Look at those thighs!!! :)
After an AMAZING sacrament meeting (where we got to listen to both Paul and Chris give fabulous talks), we all did a little more posing for some family pics. This was the first time we had all been together at the same time in more than 4 years!
Kari did an incredible job and somehow managed to make us all look good. I only grabbed a few of the pictures off her site/gallery. If you want to, go see the rest of them at
Click on any of the pictures to go to the full gallery. Here are a few of my favorites!
LOVE this one.
And this!!!
And this one too :)
It was such a fun weekend. Thanks Mom & Dad for making it all possible!
